Aspectu is a new sauna heat and humidity meter designed by Cariitti, which differs greatly from traditional thermometers. This is a meter whose readings of the heat and humidity in the sauna are formed merely by LED lights.
Aspectu is a seamless part of the sauna décor
Aspectu’s electronic parts and light source are completely hidden behind the sauna wall panel. The light source of the meter reflects the thermal and humidity readings through the wood panel to the wall surface of the sauna. The readings seen by the sauna user is therefore equal to these lights forming on the surface of the wall panel. Aspectu’s light source also forms an hourglass pattern on the wall to monitor the running of the sauna time.
Aspectu consists of a wooden panel part and electronics attached to it. The meter is discreetly planted in the sauna panel wall, in a hole milled for that purpose. The position of the meter on the wall is freely selectable.
Aspectu is designed to be compatible with Cariitti’s TAIVE sauna collection products. The panel part of the meter is available in the same colours as the TAIVE wall panel. There are six colour options: Koivu, Tammi, Kelo, Kuura, Kaarna and Noki. The colours have been made with Supi Sauna Wax, which protects the surface of the wood from moisture and dirt. The wall panel of the sauna and the panel part of the meter of the same colour merge into a seamless whole. The end result is elegant and simplized.
Cariitti’s stylish new meter is also practical. The pointers in traditional sauna thermometers may break over time. For example, children tend to be quite curious and like to study technical equipment, which means that the sensitive pointers on the meter are in danger of being broken. When the pointers are damaged, the entire meter becomes unusable. Aspectu’s technical parts are located behind its panel part, so they cannot be damaged.
The panel part of the product is made of Finnish birch ply and is 280 mm x 280 mm in size. The product is manufactured at Cariitti’s premises in Espoo, Finland.
