TAIVE sauna benches
TAIVE sauna benches take your sauna experience to a new level. TAIVE sauna benches are designed with tailored TAIVE bench modules to fit your sauna. Our designers will incorporate your wishes into your layout, and always provide you with alternate solution options, if available. Our carpenters will complete a test assembly in our factory prior to shipping to assure the perfect fit. The bench solutions are structurally robust and do not require additional support from the floor.
Production and materials
High quality is the key factor in all TAIVE sauna products. The products are manufactured in the carpenter’s workshop in Espoo, Finland, using Finnish materials. The carbon footprint of the products is small. All CARIITTI products have been granted the Key Flag symbol as a proof of the Finnish origin.
The collection is made of Finnish birch plywood lined with European Oak veneer. All adhesive binding is made with weatherproof D4 glue with emission class M1. The structure guarantees very high stress strength and low deformation.
Maintenance
TAIVE benches are designed to be mounted to the sauna walls without legs. The units of the upper and lower benches and backrests can be easily removed for cleaning and maintenance. Noise-cancelling silicone bumpers ensure air flow and moisture dispersion between the seat and the frame.
The standard TAIVE units are delivered without any surface treatment. Prior to final assembly we recommend treatment with sauna wax, which protects the wood from moisture and dirt, making cleaning your sauna easier. Surface treatment is to be repeated at least twice a year depending on the use of the sauna and recommendation of the sauna wax manufacturer.
Construction
TAIVE bench solutions are structurally robust, resembling more the products of furniture industry. The bench frames are assembled with dowel joints, with dowel pins and nuts. The massive wood material usually slightly shrinks in the sauna heat and this often loosens up the joints or causes unpleasant creak or even breakages of the benches. TAIVE bench frame is made of Finnish birch veneer with minimal deformation. Any looseness in frame joints can be easily tightened with a hex key.
The bench bracket is a special joist hanger, made of acid-proof stainless steel. The construction of the bracket prevents the displacement of the bench bracket and therefore these sauna benches cannot fall off the wall. The construction and material of the bench brackets also prevent any unpleasant creaks.
Colors
TAIVE benches are also available with sauna wax treatment. The wax treatment protects the wood from moisture and dirt and makes cleaning your sauna easier.
You can select any of the five standard colors. Sauna wax treatment is applied by hand, and minor variation in color may occur due to natural variation in wood grain.
