The sauna and bathroom at the home of Cariitti’s sales director Antti Bragge were transformed after the discovery of some problems in the sauna premises in the family’s new house.
In part 1 we told about the progress of the sauna renovation. Now the work is finished, and the sauna is equipped with Cariitti products and also with a modern stove and new wall material.
Glass wall of the sauna creates the feeling of space
In the renovation Antti decided to replace a part of the wall between the sauna and bathroom with a glass wall. As the result, the amount of light increased a lot in the sauna room.
The glass wall is also an excellent way to increase the feeling of space, althoug the space itself remains the same. In fact, quite opposite in this case. Building of the new niche on the wall decreased the space, but thanks to the glass wall the bathroom looks bigger.

The stove, integrated in the benches, has a separate control unit
When selecting a stove you should consider where to place it and which features are needed. Antti wanted to have a stove that can be integrated in the lower bench. In that case the safety distances must be observed. Other important features were the appearance and modernity of the stove.
”We ended up with Tulikivi Halla which has a separate control unit. We were impressed by the simple and beautiful looks of the stove. It has a modern touch screen control panel.”
Benches make the style of the sauna
TAIVE sauna benches were an obvious choice to Antti’s sauna. The collection enables a harmonious style, since it includes backrests of the same design as the benches. Also the ceiling of the bathroom has been made with TAIVE panels.
