The sauna and bathroom facilities in the idyllic urban home of professional volleyball and beach volleyball player Riikka Lehtonen and her husband Timo Partanen were completed in 2020. The couple knew Peter Ruokonen, Cariitti’s CEO, from previous experience and were introduced to Cariitti’s new TAIVE sauna collection and lighting solutions, which they fell in love with at first sight.
Now Riikka and Timo tell us what they have liked about their new sauna and bathroom facilities, what products were used and what kind of feedback they have received from friends and acquaintances about the look of the space.
Riikka and Timo’s sauna complex includes a stunning TAIVE sauna with wall panels and the sauna is also equipped with Cariitti’s sauna lighting solutions. They chose the modern Sauna Linear lights behind the benches and backrests, which reflect beautifully off the wooden surfaces. Riikka and Timo’s stove is illuminated with a suitable stove fibre fixture. The wall is also adorned with white SQ temperature and humidity meters, also beautifully lit, of course.
The sauna is visually striking and beautiful, inviting you to take a sauna bath. The oak veneer panelling and the ceiling create a very harmonious look to the space, as if the mind calms down and surrenders to the gentle kiss of the steam, Riikka and Timo describe.
Riikka and Timo have been very happy with their new sauna. They wanted a space that stands out and makes them feel comfortable. This has been fully achieved. They describe their sauna complex as having a gentle dignified look. They were unable to name a single favourite element, but emphasized the harmony of the space as a whole.

Cleaning the TAIVE sauna is made easy. Sweeping the floor underneath the benches is easy, as TAIVE benches can in most cases be installed with a long span without the need for separate support legs. The seat and backrest modules are easily removed for washing, as are the lower back rests.
TAIVE benches are already treated in our carpentry workshop with sauna wax, which protects the wooden surface from both moisture and dirt.
