The products of Cariitti’s TAIVE collection are manufactured in our workshop in Espoo, Southern Finland. The collection includes sauna benches and wall panels, as well as seats and cabinets for the sauna’s dressing rooms. The TAIVE collection is complemented by headrests and sauna door handles, and also wall mounted handrails, which make it safer and easier to get on the benches.
We sell the products as easy-to-assemble elements. In addition, we design and manufacture custom-made sauna interiors from TAIVE elements for our customers to meet their individual needs.
TAIVE collection is the result of our versatile expertise
Cariitti has decades of experience in the manufacture of luminaires, and in 2018 we decided to expand our range with the TAIVE collection. We opened the workshop in our own premises and started working on sauna interior collection made from a shape-pressed birch plywood.
In the custom-made product, we always plan the sauna complex based on the customer’s needs and wishes, both in terms of the functionality of the sauna and the surface materials. The sauna design includes the functionality of the sauna, technical implementation with ventilation, surface materials and lighting.
Every sauna is individual. The smaller the sauna we are planning, the more we pay attention to the use of space. Larger saunas can have four levels of benches, which requires a lot of design and dimensioning work. We also know how wood behaves in the heat of the sauna and we take this into account already when we make the design. Sufficient leeway should be left in the dimensioning so that the wooden parts are not too tightly attached to each other.
Domesticity is important to Cariitti. The timber is collected and processed in Finland, and the products are manufactured in our own workshop in Suomenoja, Espoo. The carpenter’s work includes working on wood materials both mechanically and manually, as well as doing various surface treatments. The TAIVE interiors we make for our customers are created as a result of cooperation between our design team and carpenters. We are very proud of our versatile expertise!
The TAIVE collection consists of modular parts, so they can be packed tightly for transportation. In this way, freight costs will remain moderate. It is also important that the customer finds installation easy. Our customers receive detailed installation instructions from us, which describe the installation step by step – and for this we have received praise from them.
