Have you ever wondered what the sauna of your dreams would look like? Cariitti’s TAIVE sauna interior collection, made of Finnish birch plywood as carpentry work, has elegant Scandinavian design. TAIVE benches and panels are made of the same material and together they form a streamlined entity. There are several color options.
TAIVE collection fits to many interior design styles
Cariitti’s TAIVE collection and its color options allow you to implement a sauna and dressing room that suits your décor style. Surface materials used in TAIVE benches and interior panels include a reddish Hemlock and a CWP’s reconstituted birch plywood, with four colors available as standard. The surfaces of the tailor-made benches and panels are treated at our carpenter’s workshop with either colorless or tinted Tikkurila Supi sauna wax, which protects the surface of the wood from moisture and extends the lifetime of the sauna. Wax-treated sauna materials are also easier to keep clean. The standard-sized elements of Basic Collection are delivered without surface treatment.
The CWP’s reconstituted birch plywood is produced by making massive laminated birch veneer blanks from individually dyed 1.5 mm thick birch veneer layers, and slicing these blanks to 0.6 mm thick lines with a fir knife. This method of manufacture produces the lively surface, well seen in the images. Birch plywood is very light in natural tone and it can be treated with either colorless or tinted sauna wax according to the customer’s wishes. In addition to natural Birch, the color options are white Kuura, brown Kaarna and black Noki. The idea is to tone the benches and panels of the TAIVE collection into a harmonious entity. Of course, you can play with colors by choosing different colors for benches and panels. The Hemlock material is reddish itself, so it is usually not a colored. Hemlock is a good surface material when you need a warmer atmosphere in your sauna.
