TAIVE® collection challenges the traditional sauna benches
Cariitti is well known as a lighting specialist but now a quite new product line has been added to the selection. We have launched a new sauna interior collection this year, which covers everything from sauna benches to design service. The complete interior solution for a sauna and even for a dressing room is now provided by Cariitti. In its sauna interior design Cariitti wanted to establish something unique and visually ambitious. In TAIVE saunas the main focus is on design, however not forgetting practicality and durability in use.
Harmonious design
TAIVE saunas are ideal for a person who values the elegant Scandinavian design and harmonious atmosphere in a sauna. But the sauna bench design is not only made to please the eye but also to make the benches very comfortable to use.
The main idea in TAIVE sauna design was to do things differently. The appearance of sauna benches has remained nearly unchanged throughout the years, so we did not want to repeat the same. As the end result we created TAIVE sauna benches which look more like carpentry products than traditional sauna benches.
The sauna benches are made of Finnish birch veneer lined with European oak veneer finish. This is a well know material in furniture but hardly not seen in a sauna. The streamlined design creates individual appearance for a sauna.
With TAIVE sauna products it is easy to create harmonious interior solutions. Wall panels adapt the bench form and they are made of the same material. For dressing rooms we can provide benches and cabinetry which are made of the same elements as the sauna interior.
Sauna lighting is not only designed to give light but also to create pleasant atmosphere to the sauna interior. Cariitti has the experience of many decades of lighting, so we are true experts in finding lighting solutions how to emphasize certain details and modify the atmosphere of various spaces.
Finnish high quality from the production to service
TAIVE sauna is a Finnish product which is made in our carpentry workshop in Espoo. The materials have the best possible emission rating which ensures the production of a safe and certified product family.
The standard TAIVE units are delivered without any surface treatment. However, we recommend treatment with sauna wax, which protects the wood from moisture and dirt, making cleaning your sauna easier. Sauna wax is available in five standard colors and you can select your favourite for your sauna. Panels and dressing room furniture can be waxed with the same colors as the benches.
